Anne Stevens is the principal architect at FORT architect inc. A graduate of the Architectural Association in London, England, she returned to Canada in 1988 to complete her architectural internship in Toronto before launching her own practice in 1998. Thanks to solid credentials combined with a notable client list FORT has grown and diversified ever since.

While Anne has a solid grounding in architecture, she is also highly original in her influences and inspiration:
- Her commitment to affordable housing has led to many years’ work with Habitat for Humanity.
- Her passion for treehouses has led to treehouse projects, conferences and hands-on construction workshops and continues to inspire her design sensibilities.
- Her dedication to environmental principals has led her to become a LEED-accredited architect and, most recently, to team up with Stone’s Throw Design and Iori Architects to design the Building Blocks Sustainable House and take 1st prize in the national Archetype Sustainable House Competition.
Anne Stevens is a licensed Architect and a member of the Ontario Association of Architects and the Canada Green Building Council.
